A Premium project uses one of a team workspace’s Premium project slots. Premium enables the Progress Update module and allows project Editors to collaborate without requiring a member license solely for that Editor role.

Two separate allocations

A person can work on multiple projects. A Premium slot covers the project rather than an individual schedule or update cycle.

How roles affect member licenses

• A Project Viewer does not require a member license just to hold that role.
• A Project Editor on a standard project requires licensed workspace membership.
• A Project Editor on a Premium project does not require a member license solely for that role.
• A Project Admin requires licensed workspace membership, including on Premium projects.

Other workspace or project roles can still require the person to remain licensed. Upgrading one project does not automatically remove a person’s membership or license.

Make a project Premium

You need Workspace Owner or Admin access and an available Premium project slot.

1. Select the team workspace and open Projects.
2. Open the project’s actions and choose Upgrade to Premium.
3. Review and confirm the change.
4. Open Progress to set up an update cycle.

If you enter the Progress module before upgrading, an authorized workspace administrator can also use Make Premium when capacity is available.

If no slots are available

Check the workspace’s available Premium allocation. Assigning a slot uses existing capacity; it does not by itself purchase additional capacity. Ask the Workspace Owner to review the plan or contact support about increasing the allocation.

Plan limits and pricing should be checked in the app’s billing flow for your workspace.

Removing Premium

Removing Premium changes access to the Progress Update module and the licensing requirements for project Editors. Review the confirmation and the effect on your team before proceeding. Do not assume that an unlicensed Editor will keep the same capabilities on a standard project.

Premium and personal workspaces

Paid personal schedule editing and Premium team projects are different capabilities. The Progress Update module requires a team workspace, even when the individual has paid access.
